Placedise has been started in 2011 while studying at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and the University of Bayreuth. Back then, companies measured advertising success mostly only with simply reach and recall values. Unfortunately, this does not say that much about the quality of the placement when it comes to how it really affects the consumer. So, our primary objective was to find a way to really measure the advertising effects and impact of embedded marketing tactics, such as Product Placement. However, we did not want to define one simple index – we wanted to take the whole complexity of advertising effects into account. This should help companies to use those advertising measures in a more secure and strategical way. We also want to foster the general understanding and the value of those usually underestimated communication channels.
Using Placedise, it is now finally possible, to simulate, measure and quantify the complex advertising effects of those marketing tactics.
And we did not stop. Together with experts from all areas of the industry, we optimized the product to perfectly fit the day-to-day business of advertising agencies, content producers as well as other companies. Jens Kuerschner is responsible for the technology, product management and marketing of Placedise. He studied at the University of Bayreuth in Germany and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in the United States, where he also build the first concept. He worked at Springer Nature, fitnestio GmbH, M Cube Incubator GmbH, and Horváth & Partners Management Consultants. He also worked as a freelance consultant on different projects, mostly concerning marketing, web development and project management. He is a passionate skier and independent filmmaker.
Maximilian Boehm, M. Sc.
Managing Director, COO
Maximilian Boehm is responsible for corporate relations and finance. After studying at the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg (Germany) and the Aarhus School of Business (Denmark), he got his master’s degree at the University of Bayreuth (Germany). Before joining Placedise, he worked as a consultant on different projects, mostly concerning restructuring, business & operations strategy, as well as M&A. His employment history includes the Munich based consulting company VeitingerPartners, IMAP MB Partners (Hungary) and the VR-Bank Bayreuth. He is also a real sportsman, including many activities like fishing, handball, or skiing.
